A day trip from Perth, on your own boat
Mandurah is about 50 minutes down the freeway from Perth. Park, pick up your boat, and spend the day on calm canals and a huge estuary. No boat licence needed.

Why make the trip
Perth has the river, but Mandurah has kilometres of sheltered canals, a wide estuary and resident dolphins, all a short drive south. Our boats are self-drive and need no licence for day hire, so anyone in your group can take the wheel after a quick safety briefing. It's an easy day out for families, friends and groups, and it feels a long way from the city.
Getting here
By car
About 50 minutes from the Perth CBD via the Kwinana Freeway. There's plenty of free parking in the city centre near our office at 20A Ormsby Terrace.

Mandurah is the last stop on the Mandurah line. From the station, the 588 bus or a taxi will get you to the foreshore.
Arrive a little early
Leave a buffer for freeway traffic and parking. We brief every group before you head out, so arriving early keeps your time on the water yours.

The half day
Drive down in the morning, spend a couple of hours cruising the canals looking for dolphins, then fish and chips on the foreshore before heading home.
